1905 rare Early Electric brass kitchen pendant
$ 98.39
- DescriptionI’m very pleased to offer a rare circa-1905 Early Electric pendant!Throughout most of the 19th-century, gas lighting was the norm. In the late 1880s electric lighting was introduced, and gas/electric combination fixtures became the new normal. This new era of lighting was soon supplanted by all electric lighting, as with this fixture. Which is, today, ideal over an island in a modern kitchen!Each socket has an Arrow turn-key switch.The thick white glass shades are wonderfully animated.I was able to retain most of the patina on the fixture but the long pole and canopy needed to be polished. They will soon darken down.The current length of the fixture is 39.5-inches. I can reduce this for you. Just let me know!I show carbon-filament bulbs. But clear Edison-style LED bulbs would look great.NOTE: The fixture will be shipped partially dismantled. The long pole will be separated. It is easily re-attached.This fixture comes with all the mounting hardware needed!DETAILS:The fixture accepts standard base 60W bulbs (not included). You can use a dimmable LED bulbs, like 100W-equivalent. COLOR: Brass. White. SIZE: See above. The width is 24. As well, the shades are just over 7-inches wide and with 2-1/4-inch fitters. CONDITION: There’s no damage. The wiring and insulators are new. SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
